Nowadays I’m reading one of Nico’s books, called “Awakening of the Sacred Body” (Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche). Going from page to page, learning about breathing techniques and how to transform feelings like anger, attachment and lack of self-confidence, I now know how to identify this turbulence I have inside of me since years:
A couple of wild horses, creating a big fire ball behind them by galloping up the hills.
One is the horse of ego, having a black shining dress on its giant and strong body. It is observing the wide green bed sharply, controlling every slight move of each leaf and branch around. Being totally free and independent (is it really?), it is basking in the admiration of the other one… but how could it grew so strong? More details about the ego in “Lessons To Learn 1”…
I mentioned the other one … which is the horse of fear. Weak and unimpressive in its appearance, it is just fearing everything what is not under its control and not predictable. Being totally attached and dependent (is it really?) this animal is playing the shadow of the other, not taking any responsibility.
Now I’m having enough of this wild horses, because neither the horse of ego is totally free and independent (How could it be? It is its own prisoner!), nor the horse of fear totally attached and dependent (It knows that taking responsibility regarding the decisions to make AND their results will lead to real freedom) …
Now it is the time to get on these horses, to tame them, to ride them … to give them a new responsibility, a new name: “horses of change” !
And now, be ready to be surprised : ))
Yesterday evening I decided to rename my horses into “horses of change”. And do you know, what happened today? I’m surrounded by butterflies, yes colorful butterflies (even in the office), who are accompanying me as the messengers of change…
So, why don’t you also follow this season of butterflies : ))
